These honey glazed chicken wings really are juicy, delicious finger licking wonders. They are quite easy to make, the glaze is a combination of soy sauce, honey, garlic and a touch of tangy lemon juice. They are oven baked but taste like they’ve been deep fried, with crisp golden skin. You can learn how easy these are to make through this simple recipe.
Ingredients
5 lbs Chicken Wings
dried basil flakes
1 teaspoon red flake pepper
2 teaspoon salt
Sliced potato stripes
Honey Glaze Mix
⅔ cup honey
juice from half lemon
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 leveled teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 garlic cloves crushed
Preparation
- Heat oil in pan again and fry the potatoes till they are golden brown. Drain with a paper towel. And set aside.
- Combine and mix all the honey glaze ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
- Soak sliced potatoes in a large bowl of water leave to soak for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Spray baking pan with nonstick spray.
- Rinse the wings pat dry with paper towels.
- Transfer to a large bowl and add dried basil flakes, red flake pepper and salt to wings, and toss to evenly coat.
- Arrange wings in baking pan and Bake for 40 minutes or till wings are golden brown and crisp. Rotate pan in between cooking to ensure it roasts evenly.
- While the wings are baking, heat oil in a deep-fryer or large pan.
- Blot the potatoes dry and into the hot oil for about 5 minutes, gently flipping the potatoes at intervals.
- Remove potatoes from oil and drain on paper towel and let it cool completely.
- Heat oil in pan again and fry the potatoes till they are golden brown. Drain with a paper towel. And set aside
- Take the pan out from oven.
- In a bowl, combine wings with mixed glaze sauce and toss to coat.
- Put it back in the oven for 10 minutes to caramelize.
- Sprinkle some sea salt on the french fries and serve with the honey glazed chicken wings.
